DESCRIPTION: BOYSEN® Primeguard™ is a water-based acrylic primer designed to have excellent adhesion on hard-to-adhere metal surfaces.
PRINCIPAL USES: For galvanized iron, stainless steel, aluminum, and other hard-to-adhere metal substrates.
FEATURES:
Exceptional Adhesion
It has exceptional adhesion on galvanized iron, stainless steel, and aluminum substrates. It is also compatible with most topcoats.
Rapid Drying
It dries in 2 hours compared to 12 hours for enamel primers. This results in faster paint jobs and significant labor cost savings.
Environmentally Sound
It is relatively low in odor, non-flammable, and does not contain hazardous solvents or lead.
Easy Water Clean-up
No need for thinners and solvent reducers. Painting tools and spills can be easily cleaned with soap and water.

SURFACE PREPARATION:
Wipe the surface with a rag soaked in paint thinner to remove grease, oil, wax and other foreign matter.
For recoating pre-painted galvanized surfaces in good condition, wipe the surface with a clean rag before applying paint. Remove all loose paint film to sound surface. Spot prime bare substrate.
