DESCRIPTION: Lunar Series
From afar, the moon gleams exquisitely at sundown. It envelopes the night with mysterious aura, silently luring a curious spectator in. Its lulling presence pacifies the hardness of the day. Utterly hypnotizing, one experiences a sense of calm and completeness. Dazed eyes can’t simply look away from it. Further zoom into its surface, it boasts varying textures – tiny and large craters, dark stretches, and rough impacts. Bombarded with asteroids and meteorites colliding with the lunar surface, it comes out beautifully undone. The moon is perfectly imperfect.
The Konstrukt™ Lunar Series is inspired by the aesthetically fascinating features of the moon. Each faux finish is striking but not overwhelming to the eye. SURFACE PREPARATION:
• Remove honeycomb and loose concrete.
• Check and repair all relevant surface defects (i.e., cracks, gaps) by corrective civil works, water proof as necessary.
• Make sure that the surface to be coated is clean, dry and that good weather persists prior to application.
MIXING AND APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
1. Please follow mixing procedures of Konstrukt™ Permaplast™ K-210 2K Skimcoat below:
• Mix 4-Liters of K-210 2K Skimcoat Part A (Liquid) and 8-Liters of clean water into a clean plastic or aluminium container. Divide into two containers after mixing.
• Pour the 28-kg bag of K-210 2K Skimcoat Part B (Powder) into each of the containers in equal parts.
• Using a mixing device, stir the mixture until it is free of any lumps.
• Mixture can be used within a 1 - 2 hour working time. No other material should be added into the mixture.
2. Please follow application procedures of Konstrukt™ Permaplast™ K-210 2K Skimcoat below:
• Using a steel trowel, apply the mixture thinly on the surface by pressing the edge of the trowel firmly on the concrete until all areas are covered.
• Let it dry for at least sixty (60) minutes before applying the second coat.
• Give it at least thirty (30) minutes prior to texturing the surface. Use a stiff brush and apply vertically to achieve the finish.
• No need to neutralize the surface.
• Allow at least seven (7) days curing time before application of clear coat.
PAINTING SYSTEM PROCEDURE:
Apply a single coat of BOYSEN® Matte Shield™ B-4600 mixed with desired acrylic latex colorant. Use sponge and apply randomly or in a circular manner to achieve faded look.
